Tony Reed has been in the games industry for nearly 28 years. Working around the world in game development and publishing, Tony has worked on the marketing campaigns for some of the world’s biggest games brands, including Command & Conquer, Baldur’s Gate, Fallout and various Star Trek titles. He’s actually been given awards for his work. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Until recently, Tony was the CEO of the Game Developers’ Association of Australia and was tasked with advocating the interests of the sector to government, educational, financial and commercial institutions. Tony held the position for 9 years before leaving to join Epic Games as the Territory Manager for Australia & New Zealand.

Tony was instrumental in transforming the Australian game development sector. Reimagining the industry conference to a more community-based and conversational structure, Game Connect Asia Pacific (GCAP) is now an anchor event for Melbourne International Games Week and highly regarded globally. In 2013, Tony established The Arcade, a collaborative co-working space for game developers, which is now home to 130+ game developers in 40 companies.
